Horizons’ Kurdish ministry in Beirut, led by Pastor Nihad, whose testimony we recently wrote about here, is growing at unprecedented levels. We are in great need to support four new servants who can work with this ever growing ministry. They will conduct house visits, work with children, and disciple new believers. So many people are desiring discipleship, and in order for us to meet this urgent need and give each of them sufficient time and attention, we need support for the servants that are well equipped to share the gospel and disciple others in Kurdish and Arabic, so that they can dedicate more time to the ministry and decrease the part-time manual labor they do in order to support themselves.
Many of the people that have come to Christ through the Kurdish ministry have faced significant persecution from their Muslim friends and family. For example, recently a young woman gave her heart to Jesus and got baptized, and because of this, her brother and family rejected her completely. But after awhile they came and apologized to her for their behavior and now they also have expressed a desire to learn more about Christ. These new servants will be working every day with situations like this, to support persecuted believers, encourage them, and equip them to share Christ with their families.
We already have four qualified candidates ready to fill these positions, but we need to raise $400 dollars per month for each of them. This will give them the ability to free up their schedules and give their full focus to evangelism and discipleship in the Kurdish Ministry. This is a total of $1,600 dollars monthly that we need to raise. We would like to ask if you would consider partnering with us to support one of these desperately needed servants and consider as well asking your friends or church to join. Even a very small amount will go a long way!
